(I post this email exert from Pastor
Augustine because I was just now thinking these same words to
myself but put them in the back of my mind with little
expectations that they were words of blessings from God for this
ministry. No sooner had I put away these thoughts I received
this email from my brother in Burundi. Someone in Africa is
catching this wave but with their own strategies and vision for
their continent. I know that it will take and African to win an
African and an American to win an Americans and a Chinese to win
a Chinese. I know that each nation must have a vision for its
self if the lost there will be won to Christ. However, I am now
inclined to believe that God will use this very ministry to make
that possible. If God has given you a vision then you ought to
have the courage to pursue it. When others see you pursuing
yours they will pursue theirs. We sharpen each other.
"Mama Africa JOY
Here in our AFRICAN GREAT LAKES REGION we needs teachings like
the ones you taught there. This is the time for growing the
kingdom of God. Many times, many days, and for many years we had
received many false teachings from around the World. So you
know, God is lifting up many Bothers and Sisters of this
generation to deliver this world and preach and teach the word
of truth. Our work now is to train this generation and prepare
our next Generations for the work ahead."
"I am so very ready to work and to walk with
the truth people of God like you. God has told me many things
about you and your Ministry, God has told me you’re a truth
servant and this ministry will grow all around the world (all
Nations). God has told me about Africa that this ministry will
grow seriously in Africa. This ministry will grow so much in
Africa above other countries in the world. Please consider the
work of Africa so much. God has told me about you and say He
give you the key of Africa and He will finish to open the door
for you in Africa and no one, no devil, no angel can close it."

BURUNDI
There are about 7 million people in the
nation of Burundi. 85% claim to be Christian and 15% are Muslim.
The current President of Burundi is Muslim. There is really not
much evangelism happening in Burundi. 60% of the current
Christian population is catholic and of the approximate 25%
protestants only about 10% are considered born again. Less than
1% of the born again believers participate in evangelism. There
is a great need for the body of our savior to move into the
fields for the harvest is ripe but no laborers.
Burundi's first democratically elected
president was assassinated in October 1993 after only 100 days
in office, triggering widespread ethnic violence between Hutu
and Tutsi factions. More than 200,000 Burundians perished during
the conflict that spanned almost a dozen years. Hundreds of
thousands of Burundians were internally displaced or became
refugees in neighboring countries. An internationally brokered
power-sharing agreement between the Tutsi-dominated government
and the Hutu rebels in 2003 paved the way for a transition
process that led to an integrated defense force, established a
new constitution in 2005, and elected a majority Hutu government
in 2005. The new government, led by President Pierre NKURUNZIZA,
signed a South African brokered ceasefire with the country's
last rebel group in September of 2006 but still faces many
challenges.

Burundi is a landlocked, resource-poor
country with an underdeveloped manufacturing sector. The economy
is predominantly agricultural with more than 90% of the
population dependent on subsistence agriculture. Economic growth
depends on coffee and tea exports, which account for 90% of
foreign exchange earnings. The ability to pay for imports rests
primarily on weather conditions and international coffee and tea
prices. The Tutsi minority, 14% of the population, dominates the
coffee trade. An ethnic-based war that lasted for over a decade
resulted in more than 200,000 deaths, forced more than 48,000
refugees into Tanzania, and displaced 140,000 others internally.
Only one in two children go to school, and approximately one in
15 adults has HIV/AIDS. Food, medicine, and electricity remain
in short supply. Burundi's GDP grew around 5% annually in
2006-07, before increasing to 6% in 2008. Political stability
and the end of the civil war have improved aid flows and
economic activity has increased, but underlying weaknesses - a
high poverty rate, poor education rates, a weak legal system,
and low administrative capacity - risk undermining planned
economic reforms. Burundi will continue to remain heavily
dependent on aid from bilateral and multilateral donors; the
delay of funds after a corruption scandal cut off bilateral aid
in 2007 reduced government's revenues and its ability to pay
salaries.

CALVARY MOUNTAIN CHURCH
Our Present Situation
We meet in a primary school classroom. The
Lord is adding to the number of our congregation every day. We
do worship on Tuesdays and Fridays in homes of people (from 5 to
6 pm) because at that time pupils are still in class and we
cannot have space for worship.
The Government of Burundi issued a decree
(the ministry of education, whose minister is a Muslim) and the
decree says that all churches that are operating in schools must
end that worship by April. They have to find a place other than
in schools to worship. Now because of time, we realized that it
was important to organize fund raising. This happened February
22, 2009. We were mainly focusing on how we could have our own
place where to rent and finally buy (in God’s time). Our target
is to reach 3000 USD so that we can pay rent on an empty land,
build a hall and buy benches. We thank God for the neighboring
churches that came and they were able to give 60 USD and made a
pledge of 100 USD. That was a very big step. Now we are trusting
God for breakthrough. We are truly on our knees as a new church
and new people.
Great News in the church
As we were visiting hospitals, we meet and
prayed for sick people. 5 of them are HIV positive. Their hope
is only in God. Now they have regained strength and have come to
our church. Great news! All that is left to them is God. It is
wonderful and touching to see how they are following God with
all their beings.
Our thanksgiving
We want to thank you so much for praying for
us, standing with us, putting us in your hearts, supporting us
spiritually, financially, morally and even with words of
encouragement. We do not have anything to give you but God sees
your good work (deeds) towards us, He will reward you. Thank you
for sowing into our hearts. Our other prayer request is the
sound system that we know God is bringing our way. May His name
be glorified forever and ever, Amen!

HE IS ABLE
Total Healing
On 20th, January 2008 I was going to Preach in the Hospital (ROI
KHALED), in Burundi, to the place of Aids (sida) people. I
saw this woman in that Hospital whose name is SAUDA. She was
Muslim and I was preaching the word of God. I was talking
about JESUS IS ABLE to give total healing, and she received
Jesus Christ. After going to 5 different Hospitals looking for
confirmation of healing, all 5 hospitals confirmed total
healing. Jesus has healed her. Yesterday 25th,December 2008 we
went to the lake to baptism her and others. .f you see
very much to they head you will see the SIDIDA (is the cachet of
Muslim to they head). This is the miracle. If you believe in
Jesus you will be Heal.
